しばらく沈黙していましたが、お察しのとーり、夏コミの新刊の編集とか入稿とかでてんやわんやしてました。
今回の新刊はProgressiveから２冊。
元はProgressive24の一冊だけの予定だったんだけど、書いてたら長くなった、というよくある理由でProgressive25は単独企画として分離しました。つうわけで企画的には二冊一組みたいなもの。
Progressive25を分離したからといって、Progressive24が薄くなったかというとそんなことは全然なくて、８編収録、全ページ３段組（電撃HPフォーマット）本文122ページというなんだかなな本になりました。なっちゃったんだから仕方無いやな。＜無計画
冬コミで発刊されたtext jockey でいろいろ指摘された版組みとかの編集の問題にもかなり手を入れました。挿絵の人にもかなり無理をお願いしてしまった。多謝。
正直、現行の体制ではこれ以上のものは望めないんじゃないかなあ、という所まで来た気がしている。実のところ、昨冬に翼人世界記が無事に完結し、ある意味集大成としてのProgressive22が出せた時点で、気分的には一区切りついたなあ、とも思った。
ただ、Progressive22に収録した自分の書いた話がちょっとひっかかったけど。 出来が悪いとかそういう意味では無いのだけど（それなりに気に入ってはいる）、最初考えてた事の半分くらいしか出来なかったなあ、というところでちょっと。 しかし、今回のProgressive24に書いた「水底の記憶」は、構想４年（４年前に一度放り出したとも言う）、これまで書いた短編の中では随一の出来と自画自賛して高笑いするくらいの出来にはなった。と思う。
まあ、書いた本人くらい褒めたってばちあたらねえよな。
